The local beer market is set to face tough competition due to a rising
number of foreign brewers moving into the market after Viet Nam joins
the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), experts said.
The domestic beer market this Tet holiday will not face any shortages or
price hikes, thanks to a 30 per cent supply increase, confirmed beer
producers around the country.
Beer makers in Viet Nam produced 2.67 billion litres in the first
eleven months of the year, up 7.8 per cent over the corresponding period
last year, according to the Viet Nam Beer, Alcohol and Beverage
Association (VBA).
